On Thursday, 20th June, Barka UK participated in the Peace Walk organised by Humanitarians Together Group, as a part of the World Refugee Week, called ‘Piece of cake’.
We were going from the synagogue to the mosque, from the mosque to the Catholic cathedral in Westminster to accent living in peace & harmony across all communities.
The walk underlined the need of solidarity across all communities. The World Refugee Week we will continue to endeavour to maintain our solidarity, care and harmony. The power of conversation and the power of walking together.
The deeply disturbing suffering in the Holy Land is certainly not mandated by any religion. We walked together in the way we encourage people to live together in peace. There was, of course a piece of cake for everyone at the end of the walk.
