On Sunday, 18th of May, part of Barka UK team took part in the 10 km walk organised by our Partner, The Passage charity at Battersea Park.

The aim of the walk was to fundraise money to help end homelessness in London, e.g. to prevent someone from a night on the streets and help them into emergency accommodation.

As all other participants, we received a warm welcome from The Passage staff and volunteers on the day.
This event was a great opportunity to join people from the local community and other supporting organisations. We have met representatives of Turning Point, another of our Partners and had actually photos taken with them.

Last year this event raised over £26,000 to support those facing a housing crisis, the fundraising supporting the walk will continue for another 3 weeks. It was fun and a very good team building exercise at the same time.

It was great to offer support to The Passage and to see many familiar faces!
