“May every gaze upon the Cross stir a holy unrest,
for all in life is nothing compared to such Great Love.”
On the occasion of Easter, I am sending an Easter message to our Friends, Collaborators, Donors, Community Members, Leaders of local governments and civic organisations, Partners in Poland and around the world, and to all those who need closeness of another person.
Dear Friends,
The people we meet along our path—especially those most in need—put our humanity to the test. Our attitude towards the Other reveals much about who we truly are.
Today’s world overwhelms us with a constant flood of new stimuli. It distracts us from the meaning of sacrifice, encourages self-centeredness and keeps our focus on the words ‘me, myself and I’.
There is little time left for reflection or for inner growth — for becoming a better version of ourselves, and for assuming greater responsibility for the world around us.
Life’s crises are necessary—they remind us that life is made up of stages. A new stage sometimes calls for the courage to name a problem and seek different ways of responding, so that we may keep growing and not fall into routine.
Clinging to one way of thinking and relying solely on our own perspective does not take us far. It is others—those who think differently— who reveal to us new circumstances and new horizons.
Let us not allow our financial insecurity to dominate our ethical choices, or lead us to value the material over the spiritual.
Jesus was a real, living person—flesh and blood.
He was put to the ultimate test, submitted to a Greater Good, and gave His life.
And then, He rose from the dead.
This testimony of Great Love is our hope— and our call to take risks for the sake of what truly matters.
May the Risen Christ watch over us all.
May He protect those who risk their own lives to save others.
May He strengthen those who comfort the lonely, the homeless, the unemployed, the imprisoned, the disabled, the refugees.
May He help those who work for peace, those who have left their homes in search of safety in foreign lands.
All who suffer from the burdens of daily life, from the loss of a loved one, separation, or illness — all who need support.
May He give us all Hope!
Alleluia!
